J-League 1 betting tip: Kawasaki Frontale- Vegalta Sendai

J-League 1: Kawasaki Frontale- Vegalta Sendai
Frontale closed to within six points of leaders Sanfrecce with their 2-1 win in Hiroshima last weekend, which blew the title race open. They also have a game in hand and Sanfrecce a tough trip to Consadole Sapporo today and I am expecting Frontale to come out fast and strong and look to put even more pressure on the current league leaders. However, Vegalta Sendai are up to 8th and just five points adrift of 5th, they are scoring for fun (16 in 7) and have no desire or need to sit back too long in any game. It feels like it is all or nothing for them and they adopted the same approach last season when they started to really go for it through the final third of the season and begun scoring freely and reached the last 4 of the League Cup when ahead of a first leg with today's opponents I wrote ...........
Vegalta have a bit more about them now , they have put four past Sagan Tosu and Cerezo Osaka (on the road) in the last month and also knocked the best team in Japan, Kashima Antlers, out of this competion at the quarter final stage, winning the home leg 3-1 and losing the return 3-2, even that was not as close as it sounds, they led 2-0 in the second game with almost an hour gone and at that point, the league leaders needed to score five to progress.
Frontale will be without left back Shintaro Kurumaya who has just earned his first call up to the national team, he has missed just 19 minutes of JL1 action this season and 52 in the Champions League (during which his side conceded three goals). He will be a big loss, they have conceded quite freely in previous campaigns without him and Vegalta have posed a big offensive threat on that flank in recent starts, especially since Shota Kobayashi has been starting on a regular basis.
I fancy Vegalta will again go for this like they did against Antlers and I suspect that might also suit Frontale who have underperformed anytime they are under pressure and you suspect they would not enjoy needing a result in the home leg.
Vegalta gave that first leg a real go, led 3-0 at half time and held that advantage until the 72nd minute, then the tie changed greatly in the next three minutes of play with Frontale scoring and then the host being reduced to 10 men with the dismissal of Naoki Ishihara who had opened the scoring and the dynamic of the whole 180 minutes was then changed when the visitors scored again deep in injury time. The return leg in Kawasaki was won 3-1 by Frontale and I am expecting something similar today.
Last 20h2h meetings have seen five finish 3-2 (all Frontale wins) and another would not surprise today, the 3-2 scoreline is 23.0 and Sendai are 3.75+ to score twice ( 1 unit if you can find it), they have scored at least once on 9/10 visits and pose far more offensive threat now than for most of those previous visits.
1.75 units "over" 3 goals 2.07 asian line/Sportmarket.
Good Luck.
