Restart update for "our" leagues ............
May 29, 2020
J-League looks good to go and there is a meeting scheduled for today after which they are going to announce the new and revised schedule with a restart date of June 27 or July 4.
Serie A in Italy is pencilled in for June 20th.
La Liga now looks like June 11 and the plan is for games to then be played on 32 consecutive days ! From June 11 to July 12, there will be at least one La Liga played each day before all 20 clubs will play their final two matches simultaneously on July 15 and July 19.
The Premier League will start on Wednesday June 17 with Manchester City-Arsenal and Aston Villa- Sheffield United which will then leave every team having played 29 rounds, with R30 to be played over the following Friday-Monday . All will be televised with staggered kick off times which have been announced ...............
Weekend matches will be scheduled as follows (all times BST):
Friday 20:00
Saturday 12:30, 15:00, 17:30; 20:00
Sunday 12:00, 14:00, 16:30; 19:00
Monday 20:00
Midweek matches will be scheduled as follows (all times BST):
Tuesday 18:00; 20:00
Wednesday 18:00; 20:00
Thursday 18:00; 20:00
Weekend games will have stand alone kick off times , those in midweek will see up to two games played at the same time.
It looks like we are going to get very busy pretty quickly and the fact that after three rounds in Germany there has not been one positive test reported is both amazing and encouraging to other leagues set to return to action.
Stay safe and good luck !
