I have previewed three games in today's newsletter, this is the briefest and a "small" stake, but I think it highlights what we are looking for and it is not always about what happens over 90 minutes and there are always games within games and when teams are at their best, or worst over the course of those 90+ minutes can be hugely valuable..............

 

 

The three Championship games today look difficult, Huddersfield Town - Bournemouth is definitely the most interesting, we have sided with the visitors in some way in their last three starts and they have won each scoring 9 goals. They are back up to 6th and would move fifth with a win, but this is their game in hand and a point would also have value as it would give them a three point buffer and goal difference edge over Reading in 7th. To be honest, they look plenty short enough at sub 1.80. Town are tough to break down at the Galpharm, something we have discussed quite a lot, they have only conceded 19 home goals all season , which is second fewest outside the top 4. They also have a habit of raising their game here to stronger teams (4-3-2 against top ten opposition) and they have beaten two top 3 sides comfortably, in Watford (2-0) and Swansea (4-1). They also come flying out of the blocks as hosts and are the #3 ranked first half home team (9-9-2), scoring 23/26 of home goals in the opening hour of games, a whopping 88.46 % ! Bournemouth have conceded a league high six away goals between the 31st-40th minute , so can sometimes let their focus slip as we approach half time . This is also a very long trip for Bournemouth on a Tuesday (five hours each way) when they have played Saturday, rested Sunday, trained and made the trip up on Monday.

 

If there is any value in this game, it is most probably with Town early and the Cherries late.
