Euro 2024: What is required to finish 3rd in the group and still qualify for the knockout stage ?

EURO 2024:
I think it is worthwhile looking at what is usually required to claim one of the four third places which will qualify for the knockout stage. As that should dictate how teams will approach their second game.

It is tough to get in with three points and close to "impossible" when that comes along with a hefty negative goal difference.
Pointless Scotland (-4 goals), Croatia (-3) and Ukraine (-3) already have their backs to the wall and desperately need a result on Matchday 2.
