Barrow will move into 5th and the playoff positions with all three points. Macclesfield would go level on points with the visitors with a game in hand should they win and both teams should only really have eyes on the main prize. There are effectively seven teams battling for what might only be one remaining post season spot and no one is going to take that by settling for a draw, when three points are on offer. Barrow's last four starts have all gone "over", as have their last three and 5/6 on the road, Town' s last four home league games have also produced three or more goals. H2h wise, last two meetings here at Moss Rose were "over" and both teams have scored in 5/6 in the series.

On the minus side, AFCB had both starting full backs Shaun Beeley and Nick Anderton sent off in that game and they will be suspended this evening, but the visitors are determined to get into the top 5 race and signed an additional three young players on loan from Championship clubs this week, but will be a little light at the back this evening.

Barrow made the very long trip down to Surrey and back at the weekend and finished with nine men, Town made a ten hour round trip to Torquay and one or both teams might tire badly tonight with the quick turnaround.
