I spoke the week before last (link) about the Le Grand Foot previews now only fully being available to clubgowi subscribers and they have been a successful addition to the newsletter service.
Last week they previewed all 20 Ligue 1 games, putting up seven selections in midweek ....4 winners (average odds 2.14 + and 2.5 losers, at the weekend they had six winners (average odds 2.05) from eight selections, they were 3/3 yesterday and you can view the notes below, remember, these come "free" with a clubgowi subscription.
Good luck !
MARSEILLE – NANTES
MARSEILLE
Bad luck for Marseille last round, as they conceded twice in the final 5 minutes and had to return home empty handed (lost 3-2 at Rennes).
In their defense, it must be said that Marseille played almost an entire half in numerical inferiority, but still managed to put up a decent opposition.
They haven't won in 3 rounds, but they improved in comparison to the first weeks, especially in the attacking phase. Newly arrived striker Gomis settled in, and scored 3 goals in the last 3 rounds.
But the best news is that fullback Bedimo returned from injury and seems hungry for action . Marseille were very vulnerable on the left flank when Rekik was in the lineup.
Fullback Sakai suffered an injury last round but it seems there is nothing serious. Newly transferred fullback Fanni is also in the squad.
Hosts will welcome back defender Doria after suspension. On the other hand midfielder Machach will sit out following the red card last round.
NANTES
Last round Nantes played against 10 for almost the entire game, but failed to find the net (0-0 against St Etienne). Opponents' keeper was in excellent form and denied them the winner, but to be honest Nantes were not that convincing in their attempts.
Nantes aren’t very creative, as a matter of fact they have the poorest attack in Ligue1, with only 2 goals scored so far. Only recently Nantes began to build actions down the flanks. Until now, the long passes of central midfielder Gillet were Nantes' only way of pushing the game forward.
Coach Girard will have to improvise something in central defense, seeing that Djidji, Carlos and Walongwa and injured.
BETTING
Marseille are hungry for points and toothless Nantes can be the perfect victim. Hosts won't stop pushing until they will assure a comfortable victory. MARSEILLE -0.5 at 2.06
Marseille : Samba, Pelé – Sakai, Doria, Rekik, Bedimo, Hubocan, Fanni – Cabella, Vainqueur, Khaoui, Zambo Anguissa, Lopez – Njie, B.Sarr, B.Gomis, Thauvin, Leya Iseka
NANCY – NICE
NANCY
Nancy concentrated only on defending last round away at Bastia and managed to get away with a draw (finished 0-0). Nancy kept a clean sheet not because they were rock solid in defense, but because opponents were very shy in their attacking attempts.
Coach Correa managed to rest important forward Hadji (played only 10 minutes). Forward Puyo was also only on the bench, so at least Nancy can be fresh in the attacking phase.
Midfielder Dia played his first minutes after injury, so most probably we will see more of him from now on.
Hosts welcome back midfielders Pedretti and Guidileye, and forward Robic (all of them missed last round).
NICE
Excellent result for Nice last round against rivals Monaco (won 4-0). Although they haven't fully controlled the game, Nice defended with lucidity and were deadly on counters and set pieces.
It was the first time Nice started with Belhanda as playmaker and Baloteli as lone striker, and they simply looked invincible.
At the beginning of the season it seemed that Nice would struggle without forwards Germain and Ben Arfa (key elements last season). But Nice managed to compensate by making some really valuable transfers.
Guests will have to do without forward Balotelli. He is already a key player, buy they do have other options. Young Plea for example is a very skilled and powerful player.
BETTING
After 6 rounds Nice are topping the table, and of course bookies believe they are punching above their weight. Reality or not, guests have a valuable squad, they are in great form and confidence is running high, so the huge odds are simply inexplicable. NICE DNB at 2.09
Nancy : Ndy Assembe, Chernik, Cuffaut, Cétout, Cabaco, Lenglet, Chrétien, Badila – Maouassa, Marchetti, N’Guessan, Pedretti, Guidileye, Robic – I.Dia, Puyo, Mandanne, Hadji, Dalé, Koura
Nice : Cardinale, Hassen – Baysse, Boscagli, Dalbert, Dante, R.Pereira, Souquet, M.Sarr – Bodmer, Eysseric, Koziello, Cyprien, Seri, Lusamba, Walter – Belhanda, Donis, Plea
ST ETIENNE – LILLE
ST ETIENNE
St Etienne were really unlucky last round away at Nantes (finished 0-0). Coach Galtier was forced to make all 3 changes after only 20 minutes. Add to that an early red card, and it’s no wonder St Etienne were dominated most of the game.
Defenders Pogba and Perrin, and midfielder Lemoine suffered early injuries and had to be substituted. In 10 men, with 3 injured starters, it’s not a surprise that keeper Ruffier was the man of the match.
Although in the last 6 games (Europa League included) St Etienne got only 1 victory and 5 draws, they seem much improved in comparison to last season, as the aggressiveness and creativity levels increased.
Hosts will be without defenders Pogba, Perrin, Theophile – Catherine, M’Bengue and Malcuit. Midfielder Lemoine and forward Saivet will also sit out. Coach Galtier will have to improvise a defense and most probably will use youngsters.
LILLE
Another poor display from Lille last round on home ground against Toulouse (lost 2-1).
They are now sitting on three consecutive defeats and unfortunately there are no signs of improvement.
Defenders are confused, while midfielders and forwards are slow and uninspired. There are so many valuable names in Lille's squad, but at the moment nothing seems to be working, no matter the formula coach Antonetti chooses.
Guests welcome back winger Amalfitano after injury.
BETTING
Hosts may have injury problems in defense, but they can still control the midfield. Lille have been very disappointing in the attacking phase so far, and even youngsters could deal with their soft attempts. ST ETIENNE -0.25 at 2.12
Saint-Etienne : Ruffier, Moulin – Lacroix, Cabaton, Pierre-Gabriel, Karamoko, Nyemeck – Pajot, Clément, B.Dabo, Corgnet, Veretout, Selnaes, Souici – Roux, Tannane, Hamouma, Monnet-Paquet, Beric, Nordin.
Lille : Enyeama, Maignan – Basa, Soumaoro, Béria, Palmieri, Sunzu, Civelli, Corchia – Bissouma, Sliti, Bauthéac, M.Amalfitano, Amadou, Mavuba, Sankharé – R.Mendes, R.Lopes, Eder, De Préville.
