Fiorentina need to play for the win and they have , in any case, recorded the fewest home draws in Serie A, they have lost four in a row in league and cup, conceding 9 goals ,failing to score in two.

 

Roma would move up to 5th with the win and just as importantly, above Lazio (better h2h record), the win would also give them 62 points which is the same total as they recorded last season and with two games remaining, an increased points tally, 5th place  (joint highest since 2018) and an upcoming (end of season) Europa Conference League final, plus finishing above Lazio for the first time in three years would be seen as a great first season under Jose Mourinho. In that regard, this feels very important to the visitors who also do not really do draws on the road domestically, drawing the joint fewest away starts.

 

This is starting to feel like an interesting project, Mourinho has a young director and countryman he can work with in Tiago Pinto and an owner willing to back the pair In Dan Friedkin and the purse strings will be loosened still further you feel this summer and every point /result earned at this stage of the season ,will have a direct correlation to that.
