Hammers have four points on board, coming from road trips to Palace and Fulham , but have lost at home to Villa (2-1) and Man City (3-1). They will be desperate to avoid a third defeat in front of their own supporters, especially against a big rival and will hope that they can continue to perform in a third derby game. Chelsea have played six competitive games and have kept two clean sheets, at home to Swiss side Servette in the Conference League where they were booed off at half time after being outplayed and at Bournemouth last weekend,  a match we have already discussed and where they should have conceded twice. 

 

The Hammers are a surprising 6-2-2 as h2h host in this fixture and have scored 10 goals in the last five of those.

 

United have lost three in a row at home just once since Christmas 2019 and after conceding 3 or more at the London Stadium, next time out at home they are 6-1-0 with four clean sheets, scoring 17 goals (2+ in six).

 

Those trends and the h2h record strongly suggest a big home performance which is what new head coach Julen Lopetegui needs and given the smoke and mirrors feel to the Blues defensive record, the Irons have to be the call at these odds.
