clubgowi (formerly GOWI) is now closing in on 11 years old (started March 2006) , that is a very long time in anyone's book, but a lifetime in terms of sports betting blogs , where the average lifespan is less than a month ! You can see how we have fared below and every single one of those several thousand previews is still available to view online.

Through 2006 and 2007 everything was posted on the blog, but since those early days clubgowi has become more and more an email service and nowadays, only about 6% of the output is free to view. That means that in 2016 when there will be about 1,700-2,000 subscriber previews, only around 130 were posted online. Basically, for every match preview you get to see for free, there are 14-15 that you miss out on, which is like watching the first 5-6 minutes of a football match and having to read about the rest of the game the next day !

The chances are that free to view content will be even less of a feature on the website in 2017, but no hard and fast decisions have been made at the moment. To be honest, it is a bit of a millstone around my neck and the results below are too good !

People either write and say they don't believe them, yes, even though everyone of those 3,000 + bets carries a full preview and every single one was posted on here, or the GOWI blog many hours before kick off, they "cannot" be correct. Those previews run to about 2.5m words of original content, that is equivilent to about 30 good sized novels, so it could be true that I have spent 11 years writing about three books per annum on the off chance that someone takes out a subscription, but not very likely!

Alternatively, they cannot understand why the newsletter service, which is far and away the premium clubgowi product doesn't hit the same numbers, that is simply not possible, the daily email is covering as many games in one year as the FTV content has in the last nine ! The volume is there to make the profit long term and 7-8% of 2,000 + units which clubgowi has made over four years on average is much more valuable than 15-16 % of a couple of hundred at best , this is a long term project (and we are talking in years not months) and is therefore far less susceptible to variance over those extended periods.

I am in the process of updating all the results and have a series of articles to share with you this week, but want to write them in bite sized chunks which are easier to digest, so I will leave this for now and will return tomorrow.
