Premier League betting tip: West Bromwich Albion- Crystal Palace

Premier League: West Bromwich Albion- Crystal Palace
Albion have won seven of their last eight starts at home and already reached that magic 40 point margin for the season, they look safe for 8th place having a seven point lead over the Hammers, but still some way short of the quality required to compete with the top 7. My point is that they have massively overachieved, very few non top 4-6 teams win 7/8 games in the Premier League, regardless of opposition. The Baggies have not beaten a team above them in the table in that sequence and do not meet one today of course, but they have been riding their luck and then some, trailed in their last two starts and have been almost totally relying on goals from defenders/set pieces. Bournemouth should have taken at least a point here last week, but did not make enoughof the huge amount they saw of the ball and paid the price for yet another individual error. My thinking is that WBA are ripe for opposing right now.
Palace beat Middlesbrough 1-0 last weekend, it should have been more emphatic, but at the end of the day it was three points and that was all that mattered, ahead of the game I spoke about the build up and how the Eagles and Sam Allardyce (pictured) had just two games in 35 days and that they could give those more focus than almost any fixtures this season .........
It didn't come, they lost 1-0 and they have had to sit and stew on recent results for 14 long days, they now play Boro and WBA away next weekend, followed by another 14 day break, so just these two pivotal fixtures in a five week period that might very well decide their future. They need to win one and it is obvious that this is the easiest on paper and should they do the double over Boro, it will lift the pressure for the trip to the Hawthorns and maybe enable them to perform, like this quality of player should be able to. The win at the Riverside also came after a 14 day break and with Boro having played a cup tie last weekend, Palace have all the advantages and for my money are the much better squad and I am not sure what survival "master" Allardyce can say should they come up short today. I favour them to win and stay up.
The three points were not enough to take them out of the drop zone, but it has taken them level on points with Boro in 17th and has provided a massive boost. The goal came from one of their new signings Patrick van Aanholt and I spoke about him and all the rest of the quality that Palace not only brought in, but already had at the club, last month..........
The visitors £13m window signing Luka Milivojevic has finally had his work visa approved and will be available along with Jeffrey Schlupp, loan signing Mamadou Sakho and left-back Patrick van Aanholt, £40m worth of new signings, which, along with Remy, Townsend, Zaha and Benteke, mean this is not your usual relegation squad .
All four newcomers played and in addition to the goal contribution from van Aanholt, there was a MOTM performance from Sakho , Palace have scored more away goals than any team outside the top 9 and more in total than any bottom 11 team other than Bournemouth and now that they look more solid defensively and have added a few Allardyce type players, they can begin to edge away from the bottom three and I am keen on their chances today.
