Huge game for Parma, they will move to within a point of safety with all three points and to within touching distance of the teams in 15th and 16th place. Genoa are relatively safe, at least for now on 28 points, they are winless in six and have not scored in their last three away starts and only 8 times all season on the road , with those goals coming in just 5 of 13 games.

 

This game feels similar to the Torino- Sassuolo midweek fixture we looked at , in that the hosts are desperate for the win and are posing a big offensive threat. That is more in terms of recent games for Parma, whereas Torino have been pretty good on the front foot, for a struggling side, all season, but Parma have been very prolific over the last month and always in h2h meetings with Genoa.

 

Parma have scored in their last six games, 11 goals total, including in an eye-catching 2-0 win over Roma last week, they have only lost to leaders Inter in their last five starts and they won the reverse fixture with Genoa 2-1, this game 5-1 last season and the last five h2h meetings by a combined 15-4.

 

The home side will get joint top scorer Juraj Kucka back from suspension today, they beat Roma in his absence, but he did score three in his last five starts and his return can only further increase Parma's offensive threat.
