Shock FIVE stroke halfway leader at the Open......or is he ?

I put up three outright selections and five suggested bets for subscribers for this week's Open Championship on July 5th, two were on Brian Harman (see below), who leads at the halfway stage by FIVE strokes! He might not win, but sensational value and he can be backed NOT to win the Open on the exchanges at circa 2.98 right now. Betting someone at up to 250-1 and being able to trade off or out at sub 2-1 (3.0) is the stuff of dreams and clubgowi members will be able to watch the tournament play out excitedly, but with a guaranteed massive profit should they wish.

Brian Harman has featured heavily in these notes in recent weeks and I spoke about him running into similar form to last year (when he was 6th at the Open), at the Travelers two weeks ago.......
I am more interested in the Top 5 market and Brian Harman,who plays left handed, but does everything else with his right , like Phil Mickelson, although the comparison kind of ends there. Harman has only won twice on Tour and can be considered a journeyman player, but at 36 yo he is closing in on $30m of career earnings and he is usually consistent and takes the opportunities for a high finish when they come his way and he has shown a great liking for this course in recent years. Harman has shot four Sunday rounds of between 64-66 this year and is ranked #10 for R4 scoring average and the only other player on the leaderboard today inside the top 10 in that category is Scottie Scheffler. He has two runner up spot finishes this season and the difference between him and many of the chasing pack today is that he will be happy to finish 2-3-4-5 (delighted in fact), whereas they will only be interested in winning, will be gambling to do so and could fade badly once that chance has gone. He showed his best form last year from this point on after a 43rd place finish at the US Open in 2022 and where did he finish last week at the US Open ? Yes, 43rd again. He was 8th in this 12 months ago with a Sunday 66, 5th in 2021 with a final round 67 and he is nicely priced to post another top 5 and a 66/67 should see him go close.
He was 2nd at the Travelers and 9th last weekend at the Rocket Mortgage and will be looking to frank that form with a third straight top 20 at the Open (he was 19th in 2021), the only other time he has played all four rounds at the Open was, yes, you have guessed it correctly, at this venue in 2014, when he was 26th. So he knows the course, played well here before and has now "got" the Open and the game for this style of golf. I think he will go a little better than his last visit and record that top 20 hat-trick.
